Me

1992 Mitubishi 3000GT

So I got my new old car!
My brother's old car that he wrecked had been in storage for a few years.  Now it has been resurrected!  My only complaints: can't figure out how to make the cruise control work; the rear window tinting is all bubbly; and the stereo does not work.  That's all a small price to pay for such an amazing vehicle.
It runs as good as it looks, and it looks great!  It handles really well and in a straight line it's pretty quick.
I'm very thankful that my parents did all that they did so that my car could turn out the way it did.  Awesome

Me

100,000

The Rav4 I've been driving around for the past 2 years, and that has been in the family for several years prior to that, finally got close to that magical 100k millage mark.  I was down in Houston at the time of the 99 thousands and was driving quite a bit.  I was really looking forward to it too.  I had been with Micah when his company car hit 100,000.  My brother Mark had recently taken his car to 100,000.  So I was ready and anxious.  It would be my first car to bring to 100,000!

It looked as if I might hit 100k upon arrival or on the trip to Dallas.  That ended up not happening.  It came close, but no cigar.  The Rav4 sat in the parking lot next to my dorm for days.  I had no reason to be driving it around, all of my classes were within walking distance and I had everything else I needed right there.  I might drive around a few times to the mall or something just for kicks, but, it was virtually stationary for those days.

After a few days of going nowhere, I suddenly needed to go to HEB.  Now, the closest HEB that I could find on my phone was in east Dallas about 40 min. away.  I drove all the way down there to find out there was no HEB.  Not even a hint of where it was, the HEB just did not exist. Disappointed and aggravated, I started my trek back to campus.  About 5 minutes into my trip back to the dorm, I looked down at the odometer to see   100068    I was livid.  Not only had I missed it, but, I had JUST missed it.  I know that those 9s ticked over, and that the new digit appeared either on this trip or maybe while the car had been rotting in the parking lot.

This is not even my car either.  My car is in the shop and has already surpassed the 100,000 mark.  So I can't even do that with my first car.
*sigh*

Holographics already?

Here's a link to Autoblog where I heard about it.  It's a holographic advertisement made by viZoo.  I can't believe we've already arrived to this technological level.   I'd love to have one of these things assuming it's really what it seems.

Snowboarding trip

Just the other day Gabe (old friend) and I went snowboarding on Loveland basin.  So much fun.  Excluding the trip to Copper Mt. with my brother Matt, it's been too long since my last snowboard ride.  It was great to see Gabe again and we had a blast on the slopes.  My Lib Tech  board couldn't have performed more perfectly with it's magne-traction.  I guess the highlight of the trip was when we went to the summit of the mountain (12697 ft) and road all the way back down.  It was freezing and obviously extremely windy up at the top.  Awesome time.

DiRT

DiRT Intro in High Definition - Xbox
Codemasters released today the first video for DiRT. Opening with death-defying cliff-edge cornering on Pikes Peak – one of the breathtaking all-new Hill Climb events in DiRT, the video trails the bump and grind of buggy racing, and also reveals Colin McRae’s very own prototype performance car, the R4, in a dramatic crash sequence.

This game looks amazing.  I would rather buy the Rally Sport Challenge sequel but EA bought the rights to that series and decided not to produce a sequel.  Way to go guys.  But this game looks beautiful.  Watch the trailer on the link and you'll see what I mean

Ford GT in Fort Colins

On my way to Fort Colins to pick up Gabe, I spotted this red with white stripes Ford GT off the interstate parked at some stationary store.  I have no idea how I saw it seeing as I was so far away.  So we turned around and stopped next to it.  As I took these pictures and more, the owner came out of the store to leave.  I managed to get a video of him getting in and driving off.  Such a powerful noise and such a beautiful car.

"Microsoft plans to release a new Xbox 360 with a larger 120 GB hard drive in late April. The new 360 model will retail for approximately $479 and come with an HDMI output and an HDMI cable. The updated Xbox 360 sports a sexy all black color scheme that includes black accessories, which will also be sold separately."

I want it, but I have absolutely no need for it.  I guess I just want it because it's black and comes with a 120gb drive. Maybe also because I might get hdtv.
